I’m honestly shocked and happy with how amazing the quality, build, features, and size of this camera are, it is worth getting, and yes it’s expensive, but if you are serious about whatever content you love to create and want a small camera and not a huge fat camera for cameras, this is the camera!

It’s a huge upgrade coming from the Osmo Pocket 2. It’s sharper and easier to use. The bigger screen and sensor are what I love. It has a very sturdy feel to it. Great for vloggers or to use on family trips. This might be better than having to use my iPhone 15 which overheats all the time if I use it too long. Better photos than my iPhone can take. While it doesn’t look like a mirrorless camera, it has its fair share of punch. Looking forward to trying it out even more on my road trip soon. Inside the box is an app that you can download for your phone to help edit your videos. On the good part, it has great tutorials that will show you how to use the device. It’s great that I can ever have my photos wirelessly transferred. Good value for the price. I like that the selfie mode smoothes out skin texture.

Yes, I’ve had other mini gimbal units and I gotta say the DJI just feels beefier and better. So it focuses faster and just everything else is better. But here’s the thing: you have to register it before the 5th use. You will have a paperweight until you register it. And that’s trouble if you go on vacation with your new toy and no internet. This is the sort of thing that I can never get used to with any new DJI gizmo.
It’s not standards-compliant and getting it to run takes a bit of work. If you’ve already got it (I had) and it won’t run (mine wouldn’t) you have to uninstall then download the APK, using a QR code from DJI. You also need to change your security settings to let the app install. If you’re into privacy or security you WILL NOT like the camera. The app ran fine after I went through all that on my Moto Edge 2023. It started it off by downloading a firmware update. It has very little lag and works well. It connects to the phone using an ad-hoc wifi network and all of it is done by responding to handshakes (‘Can I connect?’ etc.)
