I’ve been a Mavic user for awhile, but the specs of the EVO 2 Pro get me. I bought and really recommend the rugged bundle. It came in a great rugged case with 2 extra batteries, propellers, charger and SD Card. We’ve improved the gimbal cover and it’s easy to remove and replace.

This thing is really awesome and can take very good photo and video from the sky. The HDR video stands out for me and the detail across the videos so intricate. Get extra memory cards though. I recorded for 1 minute and 4 seconds with 6k mode – it recorded 934 MB data in this mode. WOW!

One reason that I bought this drone was to be able to fly it anywhere without restrictions. It was very important to me because I was looking at this product for work use and wanted to see how it measured up against what we currently had.
First off, it did one thing that it promised it would do: fly anywhere without being geofenced. But the second thing that was great was that it was easy to use. The controls are easy and simple. You simply hook up a cell phone to the remote control dock and fly the drone. The video is good too and the picture quality is great.
Battery life in operation is normal; around 40 minutes and under windy conditions 30 minutes. My only complaint is that the battery dies pretty quickly (like 50% over a week) when it’s just in the case.
Overall though, it’s a good buy, however, it’s not the best drone out there. I’m getting a few more scheduled in the budget for work because it’s been done so well.

I’ve had the Mavic Pro since it was released almost 4.5 years ago, and flown it a lot. When that time rolled around, DJI was the king and they thought more than anyone else deserved to be, they became arrogant and didn’t offer the best customer service. In as much as this, I vowed to do business with those companies I care about and respond to their customers’ concerns.
I was intrigued with the terrific specs of the EVO-2 Pro 6k drone by Autel Robotics. I researched as much as I could on it and was so impressed that I decided to take my shot and buy it.

Other reviewers have pointed out the controls are quite sensitive, so, if you can pinch the flight sticks very close to their base you’ll have much greater precision. I also took my time and changed the sensitivity of the remove on the Autel Explorer app too, that helped!
As usual, the flight time advertised of 40min is a bit more than you’d get. You can expect 30 min in calm winds, plus the “extra” take-off, hard maneuver, wind resistance, and landing time. I got 25 to 30min flight time even on windy winds (20 mph, 32 km/h).
I love the camera. I didn’t think much without a bit of post, but I was pleasantly surprised with the sheer quality and detail from the camera. I haven’t needed to do any post-work to pick out the details I want.
Finally, some reviewers will criticize how the batteries discharge to 50% after a week of storage. THAT IS ON PURPOSE. BUT you ARE NOT supposed to store your batteries at 100% because their lifetime will REALLY drop off! One of these great features is that these batteries self-discharge from the/set period (up to 10 days on the Autel App), to a safe, storage voltage. On my batteries, I run ISDT’s FD-100 smart discharger that I use on my batteries when I know I won’t go out for a few weeks (though if you got more than one, just charge them up the day before or a couple of hours before on Autel’s charging hub or aftermarket chargers, but be careful not to get a crappy one that can damage your batteries).
